RSS for Google Chrome

If you’re as big a fan of Google’s Chrome browser as I am, you might have noticed a glaring feature omission: RSS feed reading.

Chrome’s ability to proprely recognize and render RSS feeds is… well, non-existent.  Personally, I’ve run into the occasional instance where I clicked on something that I thought was a webpage link, but got dropped to a page full of XML text instead.

Now, I don’t know about you, but I don’t really enjoy being saddled out of the blue with extra work, and for a web browser in this day and age to *not* recognize an RSS feed and render it appropriately is a pretty glaring oversight.

If you’ve found yourself irked by this problem, today is a good day to be checking out CotG’s site, for I present for your consideration Chrome’s RSS Reader extension… by Google.  Seriously guys?  This has to be an extension instead of built-in to the core?  Eh, whatever.  It’s small and unobtrusive, and it works as-advertised. :)

(Side note: CotG’s RSS feed is pretty-fied and provided by Feedburner, so for us, no extensions or special shenanigans are necessary to view the feed itself in your browser)
